Günzburg, David
(1857-1910)
   Russian scholar and orientalist, son of Horace Günzburg. He was born in Kamenets-Podolskiy. He published studies on oriental subjects and linguistics and medieval Arabic poetry. He was active in the St Petersburg Jewish community and the Society for the Promotion of Culture Among the Jews in Russia. In 1908 he established the Jewish Academy, where he taught rabbinics and Arabic literature.
